The CCM RIBCOR 80K junior hockey skate is the top Ribcor model from CCM for 2019/20. Featuring cutting edge-tech and a more flexible fit than the FT2, it is a beautiful elite level skate with a snug fit for all players.
CCM’s quick-change steel system is finally here. The new SpeedBlade Xchange holder and SpeedBlade XS1 Black steel represents a significant upgrade on the previous holder/steel set up.
Fit is everything when it comes to hockey skates. The fit and comfort out of the box of the 80K is unparalleled by any skate. ADPT memory foam comfort pads in the heel and a more snug fit provide a contoured, anatomical fit.
A focus on performance is noticed on the Ribcor 80K, the FlexFrame technology offers excellent forward flexion, and lateral stability for the most optimized stride in hockey.
Tongue
The TriTech Pro tongue is the perfect balance between a traditional felt and new lightweight tech. A three-layered tongue system provides traditional comfort with 7mm felt, and incorporates a HDPE foam and injected lace-bite system for increased protection.
Liner
CCM’s TotalDri Pro+ high performance liner is comfortable and dries out quickly between ice times. The 80K also has Durazone abrasion protection applied to the top three eyelets and extends around the tendon for added durability where the tongue can create the most friction with the liner.
Flex Frame
CCM’s FlexFrame Technology has quickly become a staple in the Ribcor line. It offers excellent forward flexion, and great lateral stability to provide an extremely optimized stride. The FlexFrame uses a variable stiffness design which changes the profile as you move down the boot towards the toe, to provide a snug and contoured fit, as well as excellent performance.
Comfort Pad
Smooth Contour comfort pad is padding located at the top collar of the boot. When cutting hard on tight radius turns, this padding acts as a cushion to help prevent the boot from biting into your foot.
Holder
SpeedBlade XS is a quick-release holder with bladelock system that makes steel changes super easy. The lock dial mechanism tightly secures the steel to the holder, which ultimately should translate into better energy transfer when skating.
Steel
SpeedBlade XS1 is a premium stainless steel that has an oxide treatment to provide a harder outside edge to the steel in order to hold an edge longer and prevent “slip-outs”. XS1 steel is 2mm taller than standard the XS model to provide tighter turns and longer sharpening life.
Insoles
CCM’s Orthomove footbed is included with every pair of Ribcor 80Ks. This insole allows you to customize the arch support to your foot’s fit profile. These adjustable inserts allow maximum customization in an insole – remove the insert if you have a low arch, add the 4mm insert for a medium arch, and add the 7mm insert if you have a high arch.
The 80K skates also comes with a pair of CCM’s standard insoles.
Heat Moldable
The 80K features ADPT symmetrical memory foams comfort pads that heat mold easily and will provide customized fit and comfort.
